About this Event
Invite-Only Industry Workshop
Building the Roadmap for Circular Interiors in Canada
Hosted by Diamond Schmitt Architects and convened by Green Salvaged Materials.
Interior fit-outs and tenant turnover generate one of the largest waste streams in construction, with valuable materials routinely removed and discarded during decommissioning and new tenant build-outs.
This invite-only working session brings together leaders across the interiors ecosystem—including landlords, tenants, brokers, designers, contractors, and decommissioning teams—to establish the roadmap for circular interiors in Canada.
Participants will map where materials are currently lost, clarify roles and responsibilities across the lifecycle of an interior project, and examine how leasing structures and contracts influence material ownership and disposal.
The session will produce the first shared industry roadmap for circular interiors, laying the foundation for future protocols and standards that enable materials to remain in circulation across projects.
