About this Event
Hosted by Business West, as part of the Festival of Tomorrow, this session will explore how we can build Swindon’s future, unlocking housing, jobs and the skills and education needed to support long-term growth in the Heart of Swindon.
The panellists will draw on the vision behind Swindon’s new spatial plan, which focuses on creating a fairer, better and greener town. At the centre of this ambition is Swindon Knowledge Central, the flagship development project aiming to transform and develop over one million square feet around Swindon railway station, delivering thousands of homes and more than 5,000 new jobs.
Our expert panel, led by Thrings’ Head of Commercial, Kate Westbrook, will discuss what this means for local businesses and how we can work together to build momentum for the future of Swindon.
Panellists*
- Chair: Kate Westbrook, Head of Commercial at Thrings & Business West Non-Executive Director
- Matt Griffith, Director of Policy, Business West
- Will Stone, MP for Swindon North
- Cllr Jim Robbins, Leader of Swindon Borough Council
- Speaker from Platform 4 (TBC)
*Speakers/panellists are subject to final confirmation.
