About this Event
For women in their middle years and beyond, as well as a fair share of men, the reality of thinning bones–osteoporosis or its precursor osteopenia–can be a daunting diagnosis that can affect one's long-term health outlook and increase the risk of fall-related broken bones. This can have dire consequences for older adults.
A growing body of research points to numerous lifestyle-changes we can take to prevent fractures and avoid age-related frailty.
In this workshop, Integrative Health Coach Lynn Crimando will dispel some common myths and share some of the most recent insights on bone health.
In The Sanctuary is an annual cultural events series underwritten by Rutgers Presbyterian Church.
In addtion to afternoon wellness workshops, we offer film, music, art, dance and storytelling on select Tuesday evenings throughout the year.
Most of our events are free, or offer a cash donation option to various charitable organizations.
