Join us for the next AATISN workshop- Makaela Nolan, Art Therapist, will lead this experiential session exploring how “safe place” art-making can be used to support children and young people navigating complex trauma, neurodivergence (including autism and ADHD), and emotional regulation difficulties. Rooted in metaphor, attachment theory, and creative self-expression, this intervention invites clients to explore safety symbolically through drawing, collage, or 3D materials. Participants will be guided through the process themselves and offered practical ideas to adapt this approach across ages and support needs. This workshop is suited to therapists, educators, and support professionals working in creative, trauma-informed, or neuroaffirming settings.
