About this Event
Description:
Building Resilient Families is a strengths-based parenting class designed to support parents and caregivers in raising safe, confident, and emotionally healthy children. This class offers practical tools, evidence-informed strategies, and supportive guidance to help families navigate everyday challenges, developmental transitions, and stressful situations while strengthening connection and resilience within the family system.
Through interactive discussion and real-life examples, participants explore key topics such as positive communication, emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, effective discipline strategies, and building protective factors that promote long-term well-being. The class also focuses on recognizing stress responses in both children and adults, responding to challenging behaviors with empathy and consistency, and fostering a home environment rooted in safety, trust, and growth.
A core focus of Building Resilient Families is empowering caregivers to build on their existing strengths while developing skills they can immediately apply at home. Parents and caregivers leave with practical resources, increased confidence, and a deeper understanding of how to support their children’s emotional and developmental needs—while building resilience across the entire family.
Audience:
Parents and caregivers of children across a range of ages, as well as professionals referring families for parenting support.
