BUILDING RESILIENCE: INTEGRATING TRAUMA-INFORMED STRATEGIES TO PROMOTE SELF-CARE AND EMPOWER YOUTH RESILIENCE
About this Event

This summit is designed for professionals (law enforcement, educators, advocates, etc.) who work with youth, as well as professionals and organizations that are interested in implementing trauma-informed strategies in their organizations. Although this summit is intended to provide professionals with trauma-informed practices to promote self-care and build youth resilience, others may attend.

This summit addresses the need for resilience-building practices in youth serving settings. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions, learn tools for self-care, understand how trauma impacts the brain (learning, development, behavior, and relationships), and strategies that will help build resilience in youth.

Who Should Attend:This summit is ideal for professionals working directly with youth, including:

  • Educators and school administrators
  • Mental health professionals and school counselors
  • Social workers and case managers
  • Youth development and afterschool program staff
  • Juvenile justice and child welfare professionals
  • Healthcare providers serving children and adolescents
