Cultural corridor activation is about making space—both physical and institutional—for communities to express themselves, co-create meaning, and shape the identity of place. This work connects cultural workers with opportunity, audiences with authenticity, and cities with their deeper stories. As our streets across the Twin Ports undergo once-in-a-lifetime redesign, come learn how we can spur neighborhood redevelopment that embeds community story, talent, and tradition in equitable, resident-focused design. We are thrilled to welcome keynote speaker, Ryan Smolar of Placemaking US, and artist Lili Razi of the Cultural Placemaking Mosaic who will share about activating cultural corridors that make meaning of place. Attendees will come away with an inspired framework for approaching public space activation for the common good and contribute to a mapping of Twin Ports public space potential to elevate our shared history, beautify our neighborhoods, increase our access to green space, and create opportunities for coming together Join us as we gather together to highlight community ideas for neighborhood revitalization, discuss national best practices, and hear from local policy leaders about how we can build great places for people to thrive.
