Building Education/Industry Bridge to Internships
GoCyber Collective and Sinclair College are building bridges to connect education and industry.
You are invited to participate in a regional collaboration focused on strengthening work-based learning opportunities across IT, computer science, data analytics, software development, cybersecurity, network engineering, related fields/programs. Work-based learning can include job-shadowing, internships, pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships, & more!
This group will bring together educators, employers, and workforce partners to identify challenges, share insights, and develop practical solutions that:
- Expand opportunities for students
- Strengthen employer talent pipelines
- Align education with current industry needs
We plan to meet on a quarterly basis to discuss ongoing barriers, emerging trends, and actionable strategies that support both student success and workforce development.
Purpose of the second Meeting
- Identify key gaps between education and industry
- Discuss current hiring needs and skill shortages
- Explore opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, and project-based learning

- Employers in technology-related fields
- Education partners (K-12, career tech, higher education)
