About this Event
What makes a game world feel like a place worth escaping to? In this hands-on workshop, participants will use Godot, a free and beginner-friendly game engine, to build a small 2D environment that represents their own digital sanctuary. Along the way, they will make design decisions about space, mood, and visual detail, discovering how these choices shape the feeling of a game world.
The session is guided step by step, so no prior experience with Godot or game development is needed. A general interest in games is all you need to get started. By the end, participants will have a small playable scene they can take home and continue building on their own.
