About this Event
BUILDING COMMUNITY: UNDERSTANDING MIGRATION
Fiesta Cristiana Mission Congregation invites the community to a conversation on faith, immigration, and compassion. This event is part of the “You Did, for Me” Giving Campaign, inspired by Matthew 25:40.
Through this 2026 campaign, the congregation seeks to raise $50,000 to support Fiesta Cristiana’s ministries and community programs, including initiatives related to food security, housing stability, education, physical and mental health, pathways to citizenship, and faith formation.
During this gathering, we will reflect on guidance from the Bible and consider how it can shape our response to immigration today. Using examples from Scripture and present-day experiences, we will explore ways to support and stand with immigrant communities.
Angelica Acosta Garnett is a speaker and trainer who leads workshops for groups and organizations seeking to better understand and support immigrant communities. Her work reflects a deep commitment to justice, education, and the empowerment of immigrant voices.
This is a free event; however, donations will be accepted. Visit our campaign website to learn more, youdidforme.org
