Explore why group settings are powerful for teens and how safe, well-facilitated groups foster self-understanding, connection, and growth.
About this Event

Adolescents are a unique population, and this workshop explores why group settings are especially powerful for teens. As adolescents push away from parents and turn toward peers for belonging, group experiences can become a primary context for healing and growth. This workshop examines how safe, well-facilitated groups with a trusted adult help teens better understand themselves, strengthen peer connections, and develop greater life satisfaction.

4 CE credits for attendance.

Objectives:

Identify at least three major developmental shifts occurring in adolescents.

List three specific needs teens can have met by group.

Learn how to create a safe environment for teens to promote corrective experiences.

Describe the importance of, and best practices for, family engagement.
