Balance is achieved through 3 primary aspects of your yoga practice. Mental focus, strength in limbs and their connection to core, and steady breathing. Balance postures themselves require hightened mental focus. The postures and movements in Vinyasa lend themselves to improved connection between core and limbs. Pranayama practice both improves respiration and mental focus. We will take time to regulate breathing to enhance our focus and build the mental connection needed for sustained and proficient balance postures. Some balance postures practiced in this 2 hour workshop will be a number of standing postures as well as Forearm Balance, Headstand with variations, and Arm balance postures.
