About this Event

In Part 2 of the Build Your Own Top Workshop, we focus on turning your drafted pattern into a sewn garment. You’ll learn practical techniques for fabric preparation, pattern placement, cutting, and assembling, so you can confidently bring your designs to life.

This session is designed to complement Part 1 (pattern drafting). If you haven’t attended Part 1, you’ll still benefit, but the full experience comes from creating your own pattern first.

What you’ll learn:
  • How to prepare fabric for cutting and sewing
  • Proper pattern placement techniques for accurate fit
  • Cutting techniques for clean and precise pattern pieces
  • Basic assembling rules for constructing your top
  • Tips for handling different fabric types

What you’ll leave with:
  • Completed pattern pieces ready to sew
  • Confidence in using your custom pattern
  • Skills to replicate these techniques for future garments

Workshop Details:
  • Date: Saturday, January 17
  • Time: 1:30–4:00 PM
  • Workshop fee: $85

This workshop includes all guidance and techniques — no additional materials fee is required, but please bring your pattern from Part 1 if you made one.
