About this workshop:
DIYD is excited to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati for our Build A Shed 2-Part workshop!
Already completed: [In Part 1 of this workshop, we will frame and sheath the floor, walls, door, and roof of the shed. Participants will learn about framing, sheathing, power tool and hand tool use, as well as how to read plans.]
***Part 2 is open to new and returning attendees, even if you did not attend Part 1***
In Part 2 of the workshop, we will assemble the shed in its final location. Participants will learn about leveling and squaring, installing a door and trim, and roof shingles.
Part 1 and Part 2 of Build A Shed are stand-alone workshops that can be attended individually.
The shed we build throughout this workshop will be donated to and installed at the home of a qualifying Habitat for Humanity homeowner!
***DIYD will provide snacks and water, but please pack your own lunch!***
About the teacher:
This workshop will be hosted in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati and the shed building process will be guided by a Habitat for Humanity Construction Team staff member.

About Do It Yourself Darlin Workshops:
Do It Yourself Darlin (DIYD) hosts educational, hands-on home repair workshops for new and veteran homeowners, renters, and everyone in between. The program aims to empower anyone and everyone to feel comfortable and confident understanding the components that make up a house while learning home repair and tool use skills along the way. All of DIYD‘s workshops are geared toward beginners, pay-what-you-can, taught by local Cincinnati craftspeople, and open to everyone ages 16 and up.
DIYD is a program of the non-profit CDC Price Hill Will. DIYD’s programming is made possible through grant funding, sponsorships, donations, and workshop ticket sales.
