Help shape the future of Journeys Festival International at this pre-event access review.
About this Event

All-In Leicester and Art Reach are inviting access reviewers to take part in a consultation session to help develop the accessibility of Journeys Festival International 2026.
This is an opportunity to influence a major international festival at an early stage — ensuring disabled and neurodivergent perspectives are embedded in how the festival is designed, communicated and experienced.

Journeys Festival International is a multi-arts festival celebrating global cultures and the creative journeys of artists and communities. Taking place across multiple venues and public spaces, the festival presents a programme of performances, exhibitions, installations and events.

The festival has a strong track record of developing its accessibility, achieving the Attitude is Everything Silver Award in 2023. The team is now working with the updated Attitude is Everything Charter, beginning a new accreditation process and embedding accessibility from the earliest stages of planning for 2026.

This consultation session will bring together All-In members and the festival team to review early plans and share feedback.

During the session, we will explore:

  • The proposed festival programme
  • Venues and navigation between sites
  • Festival maps and wayfinding
  • Draft marketing and promotional materials
  • Access information and communication

We welcome honest feedback, ideas and suggestions. Your input will directly inform how the festival develops. No technical experience is needed — just your perspective and lived experience.
