About this Event
Unleash your creativity and crawl into the world of zines at The Insect Asylum!
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your very own zine inspired by the fascinating world of insects, animals, and oddities. Use our collection of vintage taxidermy, pinned specimens, and even live creatures as your muse while you cut, collage, draw, and write your way into a one-of-a-kind mini publication. We have plenty of magnifying glasses for you to use as you explore!
Whether you’re a seasoned zinester or brand new to DIY publishing, this session offers the perfect space to experiment, connect, and let your imagination take flight. All materials will be provided, and you’ll leave with a finished zine that’s uniquely yours.
Come curious, leave inspired—discover how bugs and creativity intersect in this playful and immersive workshop!
Accessiblity note: please be aware that our classroom spaces are not wheelchair access at this time. We are happy to accomodate with an accessible classroom space for insect pinning on a case by case basis. Please email us with accessiblity needs before the class at [email protected]
