The Buffoon workshop will explore three specific worlds:The Mystery — rooted in the sacred, ritual, religion, spirituality, tradition and prophecy.
The Fantastic — emerging from science, technology, laboratories, mutation and evolution.
The Grotesque — fueled by political power, social structures, morality and satire.
The Buffoon is the territory of mockery, parody and the grotesque. It is provocative and uncomfortable. With an intelligent gaze, it presses exactly where it hurts or where repression runs deepest. It exposes hypocrisy, questions all forms of power, and disrupts established structures. Buffoon is a demanding human-theatrical training, and at the same time, one filled with huge pleasure and freedom to play.

Dates: Thursdays and Saturdays
We start May 7, we finish May 30 (8 classes)
