The Buffalo Jazz Collective under the direction of Dr. Mark Filsinger (Buffalo State University) will present a concert of The Music of Duke Ellington. Featured in the group are Filsinger on trumpet, Paul LaDuca on bass and Jazz Buffalo Poll winners Alex McArthur (vocals), Elliot Scozzaro (saxophone), John Hasselback Jr. (trombone), George Caldwell (piano) and John Bacon (drums). The group will be performing specially crafted vocal and instrumental arrangements of one of the most prolific and influential of Jazz composers.
