Buddhism 101: Breaking Habits, Finding Freedom

Are you ready to interrupt the patterns that keep you stuck—and discover a deeper kind of freedom?
Feel stuck in the same habits, worries, or emotional patterns? In Buddhist practice, there is a teaching called "shenpa"—the moment we become emotionally “hooked” by fear, anger, anxiety, self-judgment, or difficult situations and get pulled into old reactions before we even realize it. This beginner-friendly online course explores practical mindfulness tools for recognizing these patterns and gently “unhooking” ourselves with greater awareness, compassion, and freedom.
Together, we’ll also explore a powerful Buddhist insight: that our struggles and suffering can themselves become a doorway to healing, clarity, and inner transformation. Through practical exercises, reflection, and discussion, Buddhism 101: Breaking Habits, Finding Freedom offers accessible teachings for working more skillfully with stress, emotional pain, and everyday life. No prior Buddhist or meditation experience is needed — all are welcome.
