Meeting at Rydal Mount (currently closed so I'll keep an eye on this and find an alternative parking if necessary) at 10.45 to set off at 11am. Parking is £10 for the day. There is also a cafe further up the road which is also £10 for the day but parking is limited.I did part of this last year, basically straight up to Buckstones Jump which, I'm not going to lie, was A LOT of UP! I struggled a little but it was totally worth it and we can just take our time.
The route I found is 3.1 miles and described as easy-moderate.
It takes in several waterfalls before reaching Buckstones Jump so for those double-dippers it's a great opportunity!
It is boggy in areas, even on hotter days so sensible footwear advised.
Buckstones Jump is a beautiful clear pool with small waterfall and superb views.
Bring a packed lunch and hot drink, as well as plenty of water if it's a hot day.
I doubt we'll have it to ourselves but it's a decent size and there's other smaller areas to explore.
Really looking forward to this one!
Christina
