Enjoy a free weekend of wartime history at Buckler’s Hard, with talks, exhibitions, historic vehicles, themed stands, and a display by the Portsmouth Model Boat team. Visitors can also step aboard HMS Medusa, a restored WW2 Harbour Defence Motor Launch moored on the river for the weekend.
The event supports the Buckler’s Hard Shipyard Trust, dedicated to sharing the village’s shipbuilding heritage - from medieval origins and 18th–19th‑century naval construction to its role in WW2.
Buckler’s Hard is open daily in its beautiful New Forest riverside setting, with a museum telling the story of this historic shipbuilding village.
