Deaf Action's BSL Film Club presents a screening and discussion of the 2025 film, Power Station, directed by Daniel EdelstynHilary Powell.
Two artist activists install solar panels on every house in their street. Community, vision and a dash of British eccentricity and the result is everyday magic. Funny, heartwarming, a vibrant testament to the power of art in making change.
This is our special Christmas screening so Christmas jumpers and hats are encouraged!
This is an inclusive and accessible film club specifically designed for the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities, offering films with subtitles and open discussions in BSL after each screening. You'll even get free tea, biscuits and popcorn will be provided with your ticket!
All screenings are Pay What You Can, meaning that you may wish to pay £5, £2, or access the screening for free, depending on your situation. The proceeds will go to future screenings and BSL Film Club events.
Unfortunately, the external platform lift to the front of the building is out of order, meaning our building is not accessible to people requiring the use of this lift to gain access to the building. Once inside the building, there is a lift from the ground floor to the Blackwood Bar area, accessible on the left upon entry to the venue. Accessible toilets can be found on the first floor also.
All films will be shown with descriptive subtitles where appropriate.
While this is a BSL film club, all audiences with varying sign language fluency are welcome.
Please note, there will be no BSL/English Interpreters provision.
