Confirmed details for the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Dog Association’s 2026 dog shows in August 2026 at the Maxville Fairgrounds in Maxville, Ontario:
📍 Event Overview
Host: Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Dog Association (SD&G DA) — an all-breed dog club affiliated with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).
Venue: Maxville Fairgrounds, 35 Fair St., Maxville, Ontario — a large outdoor site with arena space, located about 1 hr from Ottawa and Montreal.
Dates: August 28–31, 2026 — four days of events.
🐶 Show & Trial Schedule
📅 Conformation Shows
4 All-Breed Championship Shows will run across the four show days. These are traditional “breed conformation” events where dogs are judged against breed standards.
🏆 Junior Handling
Held during the weekend portion of the show — August 30, 2026.
🐕 Performance & Companion Events
Many performance-based activities will be part of the show cluster:
Agility Trials: Two days, August 29–30.
Rally Trials: 7 trials over August 28–30.
Obedience Trials: 5 trials across August 28–30.
Scent Detection Trials: Pending CKC approval, tentatively August 28–30.
Canine Good Neighbour (CGN) Testing: Available all four days Aug 28–31.
Trick Dog Evaluations: August 29–30.

Baby Puppy Classes offered all four days.
Veterans Class (for older dogs) on Friday only.
Limited Breed Shows (groups TBD) and Specialty/Booster Shows pending CKC approval.
These events are sanctioned or pending sanctioning by the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).
🏕️ Camping & On-Site Amenities
Camping is available on-site at the Maxville Fairgrounds, with reservations opening March 15, 2026.
Amenities include showers (6 am–8 pm) and nearby bathing stations — important for exhibitors traveling with dogs.
