About this Event
Get creative and find your flow discovering brush pen calligraphy with Anthea Zacharatos from Crouch End Calligraphy. During this fun and relaxing workshop, Anthea will teach you how to write a beautiful modern script perfect for personalising your own cards, gift wrap and keepsakes.
To begin, you will learn the basic strokes and become comfortable with brush pens. Step-by-step, you will then learn how to put these basic strokes together into upper and lower case letters and words. You will also learn how to express your personality and creatively transform quotes into little pieces of colourful calligraphy art.
No artistic experience or knowledge of calligraphy required. Participants will take home their completed workbooks with all the basics of brush pen calligraphy included.

On Sunday 20 October, Muswell Hill Creatives will be bringing people together to get creative at its Make and Mend Festival. Guaranteed to be a feast of creativity with a strong focus on sustainability, take part in a workshop, learn about mending and repairs, shop from local makers and enjoy tasty food and drink. Admission to the Festival is free so be sure to arrive early if you're booking a workshop to take a look around and enjoy all that's on offer. Doors open to the Festival at 1pm and close at 5pm so arrive early, grab something to eat and browse all the great activities taking place.
