About the Program: Explore your inner artist in this watercolor painting workshop led by Spokane artist Megan Perkins, best known for her whimsical paintings of Spokane city landmarks. In this workshop, she'll guide you in painting the iconic Spokesman-Review building. A reference image will be provided, but please bring your own supplies.
At the MAC, our hands-on art workshops are designed to ignite creativity and help participants develop new artistic skills. Led by professional artists, each workshop caters to both beginners and experienced artists alike. Discover your creative potential and craft something uniquely your own.

Recommended supply list for this workshop:
140 lb watercolor paper recommended, 90 lb. watercolor paper okay, Arches or Strathmore 400, 500 series paper are recommended. However whatever Spokane Art Supply provides in the class kits should work fine
2 - 3 paint brushes - Recommend at minimum are Princeton Snap brush size 8 and 20.
Painter’s or masking tape to tape down your work is encouraged
Cup needed for water, paper towels are essential
2B pencil; or a water proof black brush pen if you want to mimic the look of the instructor's drawing, eraser if bringing pencils
Most minimal watercolor kit: Cadmium yellow, lemon or azo yellow, cadmium red, alizarin red, French ultramarine blue, cerulean blue
Additional colors that are nice to have: Burnt umber, yellow ochre, Viridian or sap green or hookers green
Drawing paper/sketchbook or printer paper would be helpful to draw out compositions and test things.
