Charlotte is a passionate chamber musician and soloist, and was a winner at the 2023 Young Classical Artists Trust international auditions. Charlotte has also been selected as one of Classic FM’s Rising Stars of 2024. We are delighted to welcome her to Brunel to play a programme of Ysaye, Kurtag, and J. S. Bach’s Partita no 3 for Solo Violin in E Major, BWV 1006.

In this talk Dr Sam Cave explores the nature of tuning in music. What does it mean to play or sing ‘in tune’? How do we define tuning? Aren’t we more ‘in tune’ now than in the past? Come and explore these questions and ‘tune up’ your ears!
