Brunel Arts Post-concert Talks: musical exploration for all
In our new series of post-concert talks leading performers, composers, and researchers share their work, illuminate the music of the past, present and future, and explore exciting areas of performance practice, music theory, social context, and history.
All of these talks are designed for concert audiences and no specialist knowledge is required; just curiosity and a love of music!
11th October 2024 – 2:30-3:30pm - The Beldam
Are we in tune?
In this talk Dr Sam Cave explores the nature of tuning in music. What does it mean to play or sing ‘in tune’? How do we define tuning? Aren’t we more ‘in tune’ now than in the past? Come and explore these questions and ‘tune up’ your ears!
There is no need to book a ticket if you are unable to book online - you are welcome to walk-in on the day.
