Interested in learning how the Kentucky Brownfield Program can support your community’s redevelopment efforts? Every community has one, or a few, properties that are difficult to redevelop due to the potential risk of contaminants. Through the brownfield program communities can receive specialized guidance and assistance towards redeveloping those spaces into something vibrant.Join us at our free day-long workshop to learn about the Kentucky Brownfield program and how to utilize its services. During this day long workshop attendees will:
-Be introduced to the brownfield redevelopment process
-Learn about funding opportunities
-Learn about no to low-cost resources
-Discuss community engagement strategies to guide site reuse
-Explore how local data can be used to help the process
-Look at how this combines with downtown and other revitalization projects
-Better understand the components of an EPA brownfield proposal, whether your community is ready, and what it takes to craft a successful application
