Join us for an intimate celebration of creating Black history, culture, and the art of the pour.
We are proud to debut a limited-edition 25% Wheated Bourbon — crafted by Illinois’ only Black-owned distillery and personally hand-selected for excellence by the founder of Brown & Balanced.
This milestone barrel-pick experience will take place at Park Manor 75, a premier Black-owned destination in the heart of Chicago, owned and operated by the husband-and-wife duo Charlette and Jacare. Together, we gather to celebrate legacy, craftsmanship, and community — the way it’s meant to be.
The Evening’s Experience
The evening opens with a guided tasting of our exclusive 25% Wheated Single Barrel selection, led by Noel Garcia and Josh Davis, founder of Brown & Balanced. Guests will explore the distinct profile of this barrel while gaining insight into the craftsmanship behind Illinois’ first and only Black-owned distillery.
We’ll also engage in a meaningful conversation around the mission to Normalize Black Bartenders, highlighting ownership, legacy, and visibility within hospitality.
Throughout the evening, handcrafted cocktails and curated hors d’oeuvres will be served in the elegant setting of Park Manor 75.
A limited allocation of bottles from this exclusive release will be available for purchase. Bottles are extremely limited, available on a first-come, first-served basis, and we anticipate this release to sell out. Guests who purchase bottles will be invited to participate in a commemorative bottle signing experience.
