About this Event
After a violent incident on a farm, a cowherd and his wife are driven into Brazil’s drought-stricken backlands, caught between religious fanaticism, outlaw violence, and survival as a hired gunman closes in. Directed by Glauber Rocha, Black God, White Devil helped define the Cinema Novo movement in Brazil in the early 1960s.
This screening uses the Radiance Films release, restored from the original 35mm negative and projected in 1080p. Mark your calendars!
