The Earth Day Festival will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Scout participation will be offered in conjunction with the festival as a designated Scout Day experience.Entrance Pricing:
Scouts will have a separate admission rate from the general public; at this time it is still $7.00. Pre-registration will be required for all scouts. A registration form (both a troop form and an individual form) will be available on our website in the coming weeks, likely sometime in early February, and I will be sure to share the link to the page with you once it goes live. Pricing details as well as more specific event details will be included in that registration information.
Scout Specific Activities:
In addition to full access to the Earth Day Festival, scouts will participate in exclusive, scout-only activities, which are currently planned to include:
• A guided tour experience (specific tour(s) to be determined based on volunteer availability, but I am trying to secure volunteer presenters for a zoo tour and/or a behind-the-scenes greenhouse tour)
• A special animal encounter experience with one of our ambassador animals
What Scouts Can Expect to Experience:
Girl Scouts will be able to enjoy all aspects of the Earth Day Festival, including educational booths, hands-on activities, and environmental programming, either before or after their scheduled scout-specific activities during the event time. This way the scouts can experience more tailored Scout Day experiences as well as the broader festival offerings.
