The Autofiction Novel In Verse
This workshop series uses a writer's lived experience to shape a narrative arc. Saturday sessions will include a mix of curated readings, craft techniques, generative writing and group feedback sessions. By the end of the sessions, writers will have developed a body of work rooted in their own narrative truth.
Class I: The Story That Lives In The Bones

Intro to Autofiction: Craft instruction will focus on persona poems, the lived experience as story scenes and emotional truth versus factual truth.
Class II: The Novel In Verse
Saturday, March 14, 2026 | 11:00am-1:00pm | Zoom and BCA Headquarters
This workshop will focus on crafting a narrative arc using poetry. We will examine how form aids in meaning making for the reader and focus on building scenes that move our story forward.

Class III: Revising

Writers will learn revision techniques and sharpen their work by identifying opportunities to use language that is strong, specific and surprising to the reader.
Class IV: Publishing Your Work - What Now?
Saturday, April 11, 2026 | 11:00am-1:00pm | VIRTUAL ONLY
This workshop will give writers an overview of the literary landscape. Writers will leave with a general understanding of self publishing vs. traditional publishing as well as what a query letter and book proposal are.
NOTE: The workshop on Saturday, April 11th will take place via Zoom ONLY.
