The date for the 2026 Britannia Village Arts Crawl and Sale is Saturday, June 6th from 11-4pm (rain date is June 7). See promotional posters below! The Crawl will be a unique and special event this year. In parallel with Ottawa's celebration of the 200th anniversary of the start of Bytown, we will be adding actors playing interactive, historical characters from the history of Britannia. They will be stationed at some of the many heritage houses in Britannia, highlighting the beautiful art of architecture the Village features. Kichi Sibi Ancient Trails and an Indigenous performer will represent that much older, Indigenous history of the region - including Britannia being a convergence of 5 Indigenous trails!
We are very proud and excited to host these performers, and - as always - all the wonderful artists and musicians! We are thrilled to invite you all to attend!
Our theme this year is Celebrate Britannia - and Bytown's 200th!

Artists & musicians will also need to sign the insurance waiver and email it to us at britanniavillageartscrawl (@) gmail.com (or email us for the address to drop it off)
ALSO please email us 1-3 digital photos of your art, or musical act, to help us promote you and the Crawl!
If you know any additional residents who might be willing to host, or any potential volunteers, please send them the sign-up form. We need people to:
* put up posters and signs before the event
* set-up on the day - including a few people who are handy with tools!
* man the welcome booth on the day of the Crawl
* help with clean up after the event
* take photos and/or a video of the event
* assist with costumes
Since we were not awarded either of the 2 rounds of funding we applied for, we are hoping to fundraise from local businesses to cover insurance for the event and the fee for the Indigenous performer. If you are willing to contribute, please do let us know!
Feel free to share this post with other, local artists and networks. We are prioritizing local artists and musicians but welcome others as long as we have the space to host them in our hubs.
