Bristol Hills Hammock Hang is a relaxed, community-driven gathering for hammock campers of all experience levels, set on the beautiful wooded grounds of 4-H Camp Bristol Hills. IMPORTANT!! Whether you’re brand new to hanging or a seasoned tree-dweller, the Hammock Hang is all about sharing knowledge, swapping stories, testing setups, and enjoying a low-key weekend outdoors with people who love sleeping off the ground as much as you do. Expect informal skill sessions, plenty of time to explore camp, and the kind of campfire conversations that only happen when everyone is a little dirt-happy and well-rested. Attendees are encouraged to join the Finger Lakes Hammock Hub group for updates, ride shares, meal coordination, etc.
The event will take place FRIDAY MAY 29- SATURDAY MAY 31, with gates opening at 4pm on Friday and closing at 2pm on Sunday. Registration fee is $25 per person for the weekend for hammock or tent camping. Registration includes access to all scheduled activities and designated hammock-friendly camping areas. For those who prefer a roof (or wheels), optional cabin rentals, bunkhouse accommodations, and RV sites are available for an additional fee. Breakfast and Lunch are available for pre-sale during the registration process. Whether you’re hanging between the trees, pulling in with your camper, or bunking indoors, the Bristol Hills Hammock Hang offers a welcoming space to learn, relax, and connect with the hammock camping community. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The Hammock Hang is built on shared respect, community, and care for the camp and each other. Registration is now open!
Outdoor Cookoff Competition!
Do you have a favorite dish you love to cook anytime you're outdoors? We will be hosting an Outdoor Cooking Competition, inviting guests to prepare their finest camp fare for a panel of judges, on Saturday night after dinner. If you're interested in signing up, you can do that when you register. We will ask that you provide your recipe for the judges review. If you're willing to share your favorite recipe with other guests of the event, just check that box and we will make it available as a digital download for all guests. Want to keep it a family secret? That's totally fine too, we will respect that wish!
