The Renovation Revolution: More Space, Better Living for a Healthier Life
Renovation is no longer optional — it is essential. Across Europe, the majority of buildings in use today will still be standing in 2050. The route to a more sustainable future therefore lies in improving what already exists.
This CPD explores how renovation can enhance energy performance, integrate natural daylight, and improve indoor comfort. Particular focus is given to creating healthy indoor environments through daylight and ventilation, while addressing overheating risks in line with current UK Building Regulations, including Part O.
Using a ground-floor extension as a case study, this session demonstrates best practice for maximising daylight while managing excess heat in a warming climate.
