About this Event
Bringing Up Great Kids – Parenting After Family Violence is a free, evidence-based, trauma-informed program designed to support parents, carers, and grandparents who have experienced family violence. This program offers a safe, respectful, and reflective space to rebuild confidence, strengthen relationships, and create a positive parenting story moving forward.
The program aims to assist parents with:
- Understanding how family violence affects your relationship with your children.
- Learn how parenting is affected by family violence, and how to overcome these impacts in order to feel more confident in your parenting.
- Understanding the meaning behind behaviour, and how to respond to your children’s underlying feelings and needs.
- Learn about your own parenting wisdom, strength and courage.
The program is fun, guilt-free, and strengths-based, focusing on connection rather than perfection. By the end, you’ll feel more confident, supported, and equipped to enjoy the journey of parenthood.
