This workshop consists of an introduction to Eduardo Deves's peripheral thought theory. It presents Dr. Coloma's post-Marxist reading of his notions of peripheral sensitivity and peripheral dilemma by associating them with Ernesto Laclau's notions of radical contingency and antagonism. This presentation aims to deviate us from the concern with core-periphery relations and foreground, instead, conflictual relations between peripheries who admire the core and peripheries who reject the core.
