Join us for a site tour around the state-of-the-art facilities of the Brighton Met East Construction and Trades Campus, hearing from the course managers about the inspiring learning environment they have built for their students and their plans for developing stronger relationships with the construction industry and local companies.
Following the site tour, we're going to sit down with the Head of Learning, course managers and education providers to really get into how we can collaborate to inform their teaching curriculum and provide the required skills to help their students get into work.
There will be an opportunity to discuss work experience placements, what industry is looking for in a good candidate, how we can share our experiences of the world of work and plenty more.
Met East have also said that if anyone is able to stay an extra half hour or so after the event to speak to some of the students, they would be absolutely delighted to set that up - please let us know!
Similarly if you have any resources you can provide the college, like a "day-in-the-life-of" video on site or in the office or case studies you'd be happy to share to help the students understand what they can expect from a career in the construction industry, please send them across!
We're really excited about this one and establishing an ongoing relationship between Brighton Met and the Constructing Excellence Sussex Club members.
