Throughout the morning, you’ll hear from seasoned and emerging creative/digital entrepreneurs about their journeys.
During lunch you’ll have the chance to connect with small business support organisations who specialise in supporting creative and digital businesses to access funding and scale.
Whether you’re a freelancer, micro-business owner, or simply exploring your next steps starting a business, this event is for creatives at every stage of their journey. Leave feeling informed, connected, and motivated to take your business forward.

Meet the Create South East Alumni: Sarah Ticho
Host: Sarah Ticho, Immersive Director & Change Maker
Info: Sarah Ticho is an artist, strategist and entrepreneur working at the intersection of health, wellbeing and immersive storytelling. She is the creator and co-director of the multi award-winning XR experience SOUL PAINT, narrated by Rosario Dawson and recognised internationally, including a SXSW Special Jury Prize, with showcases at the United Nations and 10 Downing Street. A leading voice in immersive healthcare, Sarah led The Growing Value of XR in Healthcare in the UK report, helping unlock £20m through the UKRI Mindset programme, co-directs the XR Health Alliance, and has been featured by the BBC, Forbes and The Hollywood Reporter, with talks delivered globally at institutions including MIT, Stanford, Harvard Medical School and the United Nations.

Meet the entrepreneur & investor: Arjo Ghosh
Host: Arjo Ghosh - Internet Entrepreneur & Investor
Info: Arjo is a seasoned internet entrepreneur, investor, and non-executive director, recognised for his contributions to the evolution of digital marketing. He founded Spannerworks in 1997, establishing it as a pioneering agency at the forefront of search and digital marketing strategy. A decade after its inception, Spannerworks was acquired by US-based iCrossing Inc., helping to form a leading independent global digital marketing agency with l revenues surpassing $130 million. This success led to the eventual sale of iCrossing to Hearst Corporation Inc. in 2010. Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Arjo has dedicated himself to a range of commercial and philanthropic initiatives. He served as a board member at the University of Sussex (2008-2017) and has been an active angel investor since the early 2000s. Arjo is the Chair of AudioActive, a Sussex- based charity that empowers young people through music, providing them with opportunities for creative expression and personal growth.

Host: Matt Pattison, founder of CALMR
Info: Matt Pattison is the founder of CALMR, a Brighton and Hove–based creative health brand designing wearable, haptic garments that help people regulate their nervous system, often described as “manufactured hugs”. With a background spanning the NHS, global health innovation and human-centred design, Matt brings deep expertise as a Chartered Human Factors Specialist and FRSA. CALMR is now a globally certified Autism Resource, supporting both neurodivergent and neurotypical users through practical, non-digital wellbeing solutions. At this event, Matt will share his founder journey from research and consultancy to building a purpose-led product business, and what it really takes to turn human insight into scalable impact.

Host: Juliet Tzabar, Creative Business Leader
Info: Juliet Tzabar is a seasoned creative business leader and Bafta winning executive producer with more than 25 years of experience in digital media, entertainment and children’s content production. She is the Managing Director of Brighton Zoo Studios, a regional animation and digital content studio born from a strategic joint venture between Plug-in Media and Blue Zoo Animation Studio, combining award-winning storytelling with interactive digital experiences for young audiences.
