Terrain: Each board will have 10 ruins & 2 containers on.
Each ruin is 9" long. Four are 9.5" in height. The other Six are 5.01 in height (Though these 6 pieces of terrain also have a smaller than 4" ledge along them.
All terrain is set to WTC standards & I will attach the most up to date map images to this event.
Every Board is Legion specific & we have 18 boards. Though it's up to you to guess the Legion they belong to 🙂
Scenery basing: We have 10 Perspex bases for each board (180 in total). These are the WTC standard template. So, 12" by 6". They are clear Perspex, so you can still see the awesome battle mats beneath.
Some scenery is on textured bases, so it is easy to tell the dimensions of those too.
Terrain placement: Terrain will be set up using 1 of the standard WTC terrain set ups. So, please refrain from moving it about & if you have to (as you place a model tray on the board) Place it back where it was originally
Parking: Brighton is generally horrific for parking but if you arrive before 09:00hrs it is much cheaper & 5 mins walk to the pub https://www.rcpparking.com/car-parks/brighton-north-road#
Travel: There are really good rail links from every direction in to Brighton & the pub is roughly a 10 minute walk from Brighton station
We will be using ITC rules & this will count as an ITC Grand Tournament. So your rankings will count & get sent to UKTC
There are 36 spaces for this event & your space will only be secured via full payment
Missions are subject to change, pending on any new rules coming out before the event
During the Sunday, if you wish your army to be considered for the best army award.
leave your army on a table set up ready for pictures. The TO will choose the Best Army award
The 'Best looking army' award will generally be judged as follows: The whole army has been painted to a highly detailed standard. Every base, inclusive of clear bases, has been textured & painted. Squad markings differentiate similar squads & units. Conversions & a focus on WYSIWYG (What you see, is what you get) will also be considered.
Rules disputes:
Firstly have a look in the rulebook
2nd. Have a look at any FAQ's & or GW publications
3rd. Ask the TO to make a ruling. This could end up in a roll off to see who's side of the argument wins
Clocks:
If you wish to use a Chess Clock to time your games, please feel free to do so. This is good practice & you can then see how much time each player takes.
Simply put, some gamers take a while longer than others & that other person should not be penalised for 'slow play', as unintentional as this may be
Prizes:
There will be prizes for the Champion, 2nd place, 3rd place & Best army
There may also be spot prizes during the day
