About SplitWig:
SplitWig is a US raised, Danish-based BIPOC DJ. Their roots lie in the early sounds of house and techno from Chicago to Detroit: Cajmere, Drexciya, Larry Heard etc. while over time they've delved into footwork, juke, electro, breaks, and jungle: Sherellle, Swisha, Nikki Nair, Dj Rashad etc.. As a DJ, their focus has been on creating party series for the people, grounded in the spirit of community and the safe space of house, with a heavy emphasis on spotlighting BIPOC producers ranging from pop-up parties in the US and Copenhagen to residencies on Shared Frequencies Radio and 1020 Radio under previous aliases.
