About this Event
Are you looking for a way to fight the winter blues? Do you want to get outside more? Come and join us as part of BrightenUp London for a day outdoors, working to improve the biodiversity and resilience of Holland Park's wilder spaces!
Holland Park is the largest park in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and is also home to the Ecology Centre, which hosts the Task Force for Nature. This a monthly volunteering event to learn about and help the amazing nature hosted in Holland Park. Some of the activities you might be involved in are planting bulbs, pruning trees, pulling brambles! It's a great chance to learn from the experts about some of the curious things found in London's green spaces on a wonderful and historic site.
All the necessary equipment will be provided and you will be given training on the day on how to use all of the tools safely. Please wear sensible footwear and clothes, with your arms and legs fully covered and layers for warmth. In the event of light rain, activities will still go ahead. Please bring your own lunch and water.
Join us for a great opportunity to engage with a strong local community and spend time in nature!
