About this Event
Following two successful events in 2025, BrightenUp London is back in Peckham Rye Park and Common!
This 113 acre green space boasts recreational grassland, ornamental gardens, a lake and a woodland area, as well as an abundance of wildlife.
We welcome volunteers to support us in restoring Peckham's Japanese Garden, mainly its ponds and waterways, in order to improve aesthetics and access, and provide better habitats for wildlife. There will also be an opportunity to help out with wildlife surveying!
An exciting opportunity to help transform a particular area of a much loved green space, to meet new people and pick up some conservation skills. Bring family and friends!
This event will run on a regular basis, is part of our ongoing conservation campaign, BrightenUp London.
Please wear suitable clothing and shoes for outdoor activities. Waders and gloves will be provided.
