Bright Lights Christmas Festival in downtown Southington is a free event for families on Friday, December 5, from 5:30 to 8 pm.The event kicks off with the lighting of the Town Green at the Mobile Stage. Activities include Polar Express children's train rides, visits with Santa, North Pole letter-writing, candy cane scavenger hunt, ornament making at SoCCA, s'mores-making at our bonfire area, live music on our mobile stage with Southington Festival Chorale, Meet the Grinch & activities at Friendship Lodge, No. 33, Bubble Mania with Vinny Morelli, First Congregational Church tag sale, crafts and more; hot chocolate bar at Southington Coffee House, 72 Center Street EarthSong Art and Leather Jacket Games.
