Once again, we have a rare opportunity to hear outstanding young performers at the Old Low Light. The programme offers a rich variety of music, with piano, cello, voice, trumpet, flute and clarinet all represented.

These young artists are among the most talented performers in the North East, including sixth-form students studying music at an advanced level, postgraduate university students, and young musicians on the cusp of professional careers. Two of the performers are preparing to begin their studies at an English conservatoire this coming September.

We are especially delighted to welcome back one of our performers — a gifted young soprano in her second year at the Royal College of Music in London — who is returning especially to sing in this concert.

It promises to be a night to remember.
