About the speakers:
Christopher Wood is an Indigenous illustrator who has worked on weekly cartoons and editorial illustrations, commercial advertisements and in publishing. His recent credits include the comic Dreamwalker, the first First Nations female superhero created by First Nation writers Scott Wilson and Molly Hunt and he’s currently developing a children’s graphic novel series with Hardie Grant Publishing. His great grandmother Kaye Wilson was born on the banks of the Fitzroy River. The Worrorra peoples of the Kimberley know her and consider her one of their own, as they have with many First Nation children from that time

Ange Yang is a Malaysian-Australian writer, essayist and storyteller based in Boorloo (Perth). She uses her appetite to explore questions around food and identity. She has been published in local and national publications including Westerly, Gourmet Traveller, SBS and is a regular reviewer for Broadsheet and WA Good Food Guide. She has shared the laughter and chaos that comes with growing up Asian-Australian in performances at Blue Room Theatre. Ange is open to national and international collaborations that advocate for greater representation in the arts, legal and corporate industries. Connect with her via Instagram @vegemitecongee

About the Moderator:
