We are honored to feature Dr. Renée Lertzman. She's a climate and sustainability psychologist who blends psychology with environmental science to help organizations engage people effectively on environmental challenges. Dr. Lertzman will share her insights on integrating emotional and psychological aspects into sustainability efforts, offering practical strategies to engage stakeholders and drive impactful environmental action within your organizations and events.

SPEAKER/TOUR GUIDE: Alyah Salma Kanso
Alyah Salma Kanso is an intersectional environmentalist and is entering their 4th season as Manager of Sustainability for the Golden State Warriors. In this role, they champion climate justice initiatives for the Warriors and Chase Center, which includes a commitment to decarbonization and managing the Chase Center’s commitment to the UN Sports for Climate Action initiative.
Kanso is a passionate advocate for harnessing the fusion of culture and community as a force for positive change, both locally and on the global stage. They focus on the transformative power within the intersection of sports, sustainability, and community engagement. Through their efforts, Kanso has made strides in conservation, food recovery, partnerships, community engagement and more for meaningful change, both within the NBA and beyond.
When not immersed in climate justice pursuits, you’ll likely find them in their kitchen experimenting with intricate New York Times recipes.
SPEAKER:
Dr. Renée Lertzman is a researcher, advisor and strategist who translates relational psychological insights to change our approach to our planetary crisis. Applying her graduate training as a psychosocial researcher specializing in deep human insights, she designs frameworks and methods, grounded in public health, clinical psychology and neurosciences, that guide people to take action and create impact on climate and sustainability issues. For twenty years, she’s partnered with leaders, founders, teams, start-ups, innovators, companies and organizations across public and private sectors, looking to strengthen climate and sustainability initiatives, and harness the creativity and innovation needed to address our most complex and intractable problems. A popular international keynote speaker, trainer and facilitator, she advises and develops programs with organizations, leaders, and teams across sectors and regions. In 2018, she received grants from the KR Foundation and 11th Hour Project to launch a new initiative, Project InsideOut, to create tools and resources drawing on psychological insights for existential planetary change. Past and current clients include Google, VMWare, IKEA, California Academy of Sciences, WWF, Skoll Global Threats Fund, Transport for London, and Live Nation.
