About this Event

This three-part workshop series explores the cutting-edge world of fashion technology, where creativity and science converge to redefine the future of apparel. Geared towards fashion and design professionals, as well as scientists involved in wearable technologies, each session dives deep into key aspects of integrating technology with fashion—from concept development to large-scale production. Through talks that build on each other, participants will learn strategies for designing innovative wearables, the use of digital avatars for virtual fashion workflows, and understanding the practical challenges of scaling wearable technology for the mass market. An informal Q&A with the presenter and time to get to know fellow attendees follows each talk as part of the session.

In the final session, participants will dive into the world of digital avatars and virtual fashion design, and see how fashion designers are using software tools to bring fashion concepts to life. Attendees will learn how 3D prototyping tools are used to visualize and iterate clothing designs on virtual avatars before physical prototyping. This session will emphasize the role of 3D digital prototypes in streamlining the design process, enabling rapid experimentation, reducing waste and fostering sustainable practices in the fashion industry.
