Ghost stories around the fire have long been a tradition around the Festive Season since the Victorian/Edwardian times of our Transporter Bridge, and we're carrying on that theme with our final Newport Transporter Bridge Project Bridge Talk of 2024!
Join local author, Alan Roderick, as he dips into his book; 'The Ghosts of Gwent' to reveal some of the ghosts who have haunted our ancestors.
Headless horsewomen, phantom stagecoaches and other worldly animals are just some of the strange phenomena that haunt the land of Gwent. Hitchhikers vanish, never to be seen again, mysterious footsteps are heard, apparitions walk the walls of ancient castles. From the noblest stately home to the humblest council house, nowhere is safe.
