About this Event
This engaging two-hour workshop invites participants to transform their imagination into stop-motion films using LEGO sets. Guided by instructors and volunteers, the workshop covers the entire creative process—from set design and storyboarding to filming, sound design, and editing.
Parents can bring $25 to purchase a LEGO set for their child to take home, extending the creative fun beyond the workshop. Or Bring your own new set.
Set Selection & Design: Participants choose from a variety of LEGO environments and characters.
- Story Development: Brainstorm and outline a simple narrative.
- Storyboarding & Set Building: Sketch scenes and create a dynamic film environment.
Stop-Motion Filming: Frame-by-frame animation using iStopMotion software. - Sound Design: Record voiceovers and add sound effects.
- Editing: Finalize films in Final Cut Pro, adding music and enhancing storytelling.
- Screening: Celebrate with a group showcase of all films.
Tools and Materials: - LEGO Sets: A diverse selection including Peppa Pig, Spider-Man, Police Station, Treehouse, and more.
Participants leave with newfound skills in storytelling, animation, and collaboration, culminating in a short film to take home.
